Manhead
Manhead is a 5,800 square foot office renovation project in East Nashville. Powell rehabbed the client’s building after the 2020 tornado did an extensive about of damage. Powell transformed and constructed this multi-office shared workspace. Clear coated birch plywood sets the stage for the featured wood tone in this project. This birch plywood is used throughout in multiple variations - sheets, slats, countertops and furniture. A custom peg board wall highlights the clients unique textile merch for their musician clients and allows for seasonal change. The original bow truss beams were rehabbed and painted an inky black to contrast the painted white wood ceiling. Organic pendant globes highlight the common kitchen area that features a custom snake plant covered ceiling. Manhead is an office like no other - common materials used in distinctive, bold ways.
