Butcher & Bee
Nashville
A Charleston-bred brand, Butcher & Bee chose a former mattress factory in East Nashville as the home for its first Music City restaurant and sought out a design that offered textures and colors as vibrant as their locavore-focused menu offerings. The Powell team’s approach to the 3,800-square foot, 130-seat restaurant hinged on an innovative blend of new and original material finishes, from restoring and highlighting the original bow-truss roof to incorporating warm copper lighting and accents, smoked wood and moody tones of blue and green. An open kitchen — with seating around the chef work areas and prominent pops of bee-inspired hexagon shapes — completes the dining experience.
