Two Ten Jack
The unpretentious, comfortable energy of a true Japanese neighborhood pub, or izakaya, drove the overall approach to East Nashville’s Japanese-inspired ramen house and bar Two Ten Jack. To build that ambience, Powell chose materials and colors that reflect a modern twist on the traditional izakaya, including light wood tones, soft leather, polished and patinated concrete. Space restrictions posed challenges and offered opportunities to amplify the neighborly vibe, such as communal tables under intimate lighting that help Two Ten Jack feel like a welcoming urban gathering spot, where local and Japanese culture come together.
