Powell designed and built The Blueprint Supply Co’s Nashville location, a multi-faceted venue designed to showcase different types of events + live music performances. Inspired by the storied history of Printer’s Alley, the Blueprint Supply Co.’s design marries the decadence and energy of the post-prohibition jazz age with modern elements of performance, fun, and drama. Movement and expression are emphasized throughout the space with mirrored walls, architectural forms, and lush curtains. Timeless materials like warm wood and natural stone are given edge with geometric shapes and metallic details. The space’s rich textures and tones are juxtaposed by more delicate details, a balance that harkens back to a history filled with liberation, debauchery, self-expression, and many colorful characters.
